The most festive time of the year is just around the corner, and here at Morris of Rutherglen, we would like to wish you a very happy holiday season. Now is the perfect time for lots of laughter and fun with friends and family, accompanied by festive Morris wines, of course!
Morris of Rutherglen would like to extend a massive thank you to all our loyal customers and fortified wine lovers for their constant support over a somewhat turbulent year. As the New Year looms, bringing with it excitement and new adventures, it is important to reflect on the year that was.
Awards and Accolades
Known for our award-winning wines, we were honoured to have achieved over 15 outstanding accolades and medals this year. At the Decanter World Wine Awards, we received the most points of any Australian Wine submitted in the show. We have also been nominated for Fortified Wine Producer of the Year at the 2021 International Wine and Spirits Competition and cannot wait for the results!
Our Cellar Door
At our Rutherglen Cellar Door, things have been a little quieter for us this year. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 lockdown in Victoria, we could not host all our Morris family and friends for a lot of the year. We are pleased to be back up and running and cannot wait to greet you all at our cellar door.
We have also been busy behind the scenes working on our Cellar Door renovations, and we look forward to unveiling this new cellar door in 2022.
The Upcoming Vintage
Vintage 2022 is just around the corner, and with the way the season is holding up, it’s looking to be a great vintage. Thanks to our *insert title* Jackson Brown and his outstanding team, over 2,500 vines have been planted on the Mia Mia vineyard. They have been fertilising and mulching the vines and installing a new irrigation system in the vineyards to create our Rutherglen Wines.
